Car Insurance Jaguar (Car Insurance). Should I get a Sierra or a Tacoma?Should I get a Sierra or a Tacoma? My dad said he'd buy me a truck if I get a Scholarship for college and i have narrowed it down to these 2 trucks. I graduate 2013 and I will be getting a 4x4. I really like the whole 6.0l V8 hybrid option on the sierra and it will get about the same on average as the tacoma. Let me know what you guys think? or just any opinions. thanks You want to go with the GMC Sierra. By the time you graduate, you should be finding some pretty sweet rides out there with endless options and the whole 9 yards. Main thing right now is to focus in on your studies and make sure you get that scholarship. Sierra is the right truck though. Very dependable trucks, and they ride really smooth. Get the Sierra for sure better payload better tow rating about the same fuel economy(maybe 1 or 2 mpg worse) larger more comfortable IMO best of all it's American :D sierra no doubt Tacoma Auto parts : Boost Gauge Acura 1995 . Jaguar . How to Change the Fuel Filter on a 2001 Chevrolet SilveradoThe fuel filter on the 2001 Chevrolet Silverado plays a very important part in the fuel process. The fuel is sucked out of the tank by the fuel pump. The fuel then goes into the fuel filter, where sediments and debris are removed. The fuel then goes out the other side of the fuel filter and into the engine. You can change the fuel filter yourself in just a matter of minutes. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Open-end wrenches Ratchet Socket set Safety glasses Small bucket New fuel filter Step by Step : 1 Unscrew the gas cap from the gas tank. 2 Locate the fuel filter underneath the truck. The fuel filter is positioned under the driver's side in the rail in front of the gas tank. Take the proper size open-end wrench and remove both of the fuel lines from the fuel filter. 3 Hold the fuel lines down so that the excess fuel can run into the small bucket. 4 Remove the bracket that is holding the fuel filter to the rail with a ratchet and the proper size socket. Then pull the old fuel filter out. 5 Put the new fuel filter in place with the arrow pointing toward the engine. Bolt the bracket back over the new fuel filter. 6 Connect both fuel lines back to the fuel filter and tighten them down. 7 Screw the gas cap back on the gas tank. Start the truck up and inspect the fuel filter and fuel lines for leaks while the truck is running. Turn the truck off. Tips & Warnings The arrow on the fuel filter represents the fuel flow. If the arrow on the fuel filter is facing the gas tank, then the truck will not run. Wear safety glasses when removing the fuel lines to keep fuel from getting into your eyes. Jaguar . How to Change the Fuel Filter on a 95 SevilleAll cars need periodic maintenance, and owners of older cars need to be especially diligent in maintaining their vehicles as well as handling problems at the first sign of trouble. Cadillacs, in particular, are expensive to have worked on by a professional mechanic, but with a little time and effort, anyone can care for these cars. Changing a fuel filter is one of the ways to not only care for your Cadillac Seville, but to do so inexpensively. As a bonus, this car has one the easiest fuel filters to change. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Fuel filter Flat head screwdriver PliersChanging the fuel filter Step by Step : 1 Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery to prevent power going to fuel pump. 2 Open fuel filler cap to equalize pressure in fuel system. 3 Locate the fuel filter. In the 1995 Cadillac Seville it be under or just behind the rear door on the driver's side. If you are having problems finding it, trace the fuel line from the fuel tank toward the engine. The fuel filter will be in the line between them and should be connected with quick connect fittings. 4 The connectors will either be removable with a screwdriver or by squeezing with pliers. Use tools and remove filter, noting how the filter is connected. 5 Replace with new filter and appropriately dispose of old one. 6 Clean any fuel from hands and reconnect negative battery cable. 7 Close fuel filler cap. 8 Crank vehicle and check for leakage. *7Q Part I: Getting Started There are several types of transmission fluid. Each is made for a specific type of automatic transmission. Newer transmissions from the major auto-makers require different fluid than vehicles as little as two years old. Because so many different kinds of transmissions are around these days, check your owner's manual or dealership to find out which type of fluid your car requires, and enter that type on your Specifications Record. 4. Dip the tip of your index finger into the fluid on the dipstick and rub the fluid between your finger and the tip of your thumb. The transmission fluid on the dipstick should be pinkish and almost clear. If it looks or smells burnt or has particles in it, have a mechanic drain and change the fluid. If your car hesitates when your automatic transmission shifts gears, the first thing to check is the transmission fluid level — before you let any mechanic start talking about servicing or adjusting your transmission or selling you a new one. Many symptoms of a faulty transmission are the same as those for being low on transmission fluid. Obviously, adding transmission fluid is a lot cheaper than replacing the whole transmission system! See Chapter 17 for advice. Check the Brake Fluid On the driver's side of your vehicle, usually up near the firewall, is a big, 214

Just in front of that, sitting on and connected to the brake master cylinder, is the brake fluid reservoir, a plastic canister that contains (you guessed it) brake fluid. (Older vehicles don't have a plastic reservoir; instead, the master cylinder is a little metal box with a lid that you must remove to check the fluid level.) When you put your foot on the brake pedal, the fluid in the master cylinder (see Figure 3-12) moves down the brake lines to the front and rear brakes. If there's insufficient brake fluid, air is introduced into the brake lines and your car won't stop properly. Therefore, it's important to keep enough brake fluid in your brake fluid reservoir. (This situation is not as scary as it sounds; Jaguar . Ten tools used to effect repair on an internal combustion engine?
Dodge Ram 50 Regular Cab. * most master cylinders have two chambers as a safety feature. This way, if one well of brake fluid suddenly goes dry because of a leak in the brake lines or something like that, the other chamber still has enough fluid in it to stop the car.) If your vehicle has anti-lock brakes (ABS), consult your owner's manual before checking your brake fluid. Some require you to pump the brake pedal approximately 25 to 30 times before opening and inspecting the fluid reservoir. .Chapter 3: Preventive Maintenance: A Monthly Under-the-Hood Check 7 1 Figure 3-12: The master cylinder on many popu Jaguar . If you have the kind with a little plastic reservoir on top, just unscrew the cap of the reservoir. If you have a metal master cylinder that contains the reservoir, use a screwdriver to pry the retaining clamp off the top (see Figure 3-13). Figure 3-13: Releasing the lid of a metal master cylinder with a screwdriver. Always clean the top of the cylinder or reservoir carefully before opening it. A small amount of dirt falling into the fluid can cause the internal seals of the master cylinder to fail. Your brakes will begin to lose effectiveness and ultimately fail completely. 2. Look to see where the fluid level lies between the low- and high-level indicating marks on the plastic reservoir, or inside the master cylinder, to make sure that the brake fluid level is within half an inch or so of the cap. Part I: Getting Started If the level isn't high enough, add the proper brake fluid for your vehicle. (You can find instructions for buying the proper brake fluid in Chapter 18.)
